The kind of weekend where I'm wondering if I can clone myself to be in multiple places at once. My all-time fave is the Leawood sale you'll see introduced with pics below but there are some spectacular options if you've been trying to curate a vibe. Retro casino? Hit up Independence. Eclectic art professor? Get over to the Red Bridge area or go see our girl Kathy Kaul. Halloween decor is still aplenty, and some of these bigger sales in the 'burbs are giving gilded 18th century European. See ya next week! |

The Call-Out Section This Independence sale has 4 sewing machines, a collection of vinyls, and a simple but cute mid-century dining table set. (Wed - Fri) It's a big weekend for garage sales, the neighborhoods around me are holding them, and this one up in Riverside seems to be an annual festivity. I'm particular to the Halloween decor, and a huge collection of rubber stamps for the scrapbookers and crafters. (Thurs - Sat) Some delightful retro casino / cowboy vibes in Independence with ashtrays, numerous Elvis paintings, vintage car ads + art, and vintage dishes, glassware, kitchen equipment, and more! I think the art is the big hit for this sale but the leather jacket collection is also pretty fun. (Thurs - Fri) This Lee's Summit sale is a mixed bag imo but there's a great selection of fall, Halloween, and holiday decor! (Thurs - Sat) Barbershop Starter Kit, available in Leavenworth! Just kidding but there are barbershop supplies, chairs, and tools of all kind if you're interested. (Thurs - Sat) A downsizing sale featuring jewelry making supplies + equipment! (Fri - Sun, cash or venmo only) This Lenexa sale is a bit of a treasure hunt BUT this sale company in particular has a special clean-out offer on the last day, known as Sack Attack. They hand you a plastic grocery bag, you fill it with items from the sale, and everything in that bag is (insert whatever $ amount they tell you). I believe it was $10 a sack last time I shopped with them. If you can wait until Sunday, you'll walk away with some great discounts. (Fri - Sun) This eclectic sale has me intrigued, mainly for the vintage phones, Halloween decor, and oversized playing card pieces. Every corner has a different vibe so I'd go explore! (Fri - Sat) Kathy Kaul and her gorgeous array of furniture and art, this time with rugs and art books too! (Fri - Sat) If you end up on the west side of the metro this weekend, this Olathe sale is great for clothing + shoes! Also, modern pieces of furniture, Halloween decor, and cookbooks. (Sat - Sun) |
