Helloooo PLEASE tell me what everyone got from the liquidation sale last week. It looked glorious and I unfortunately had to miss out so let me live vicariously through you. Don't forget! Cherry Pit Collective is having an artist garage sale March 21st. This weekend looks great for estate sales but I am already seeing some excellent ones for next weekend!! We're in a good season for shopping secondhand. I get very zoned in on shopping for furniture and home decor at these sales but do not forget that estate sales can be ideal for home essentials like tools, gardening supplies, pots and pans, bedding and linens, clothing and shoes, and tons of other things that are only getting more expensive and more plastic when you buy them new. |

What else is going on this weekend? Travel posters + vintage toys in Liberty (moved offsite to store)
love a good dog-lover house out in Belton and I deeply love these cocktail glasses.
mid-century pieces out in Bonner Springs. great vintage holiday decor
just a huge sale in Lee's Summit, as we're accustomed to, but I do like some of their furniture pieces Moving sales are typically smaller and less interesting (imo) than the estate sales but this one has a few contractor tools + handmade furniture if you're in the market at the time of writing, this sale could go either way BUT it is one of those sales that I was referencing up above as being good for essentials. I see some baking supplies, good quality kitchen dishes and serving pieces, and cookbooks!
Another sale that could go either way (and when I say that I mean, boring or unexpectedly ideal) but I like a few key pieces depending on the style of your home or space. Nesting Tables, Sofa Console Table, Chaise Lounge, and a Wood Bar with room for wine glasses and bottles.
Thank you for shopping your local sales!

curated mid-century modern furniture + home goods
2054 Tremont st Kansas City, KS 66101 Thursday - Saturday | Cash only It's a smaller sale but since they're saying this is all "curated", I think it's going to be good quality and/or interesting pieces. I do think it will lean towards smaller items + decor but worth a look if you're interested!

big picker vibes aka lots of little things shoved in every corner
Mission, KS 66202 Friday - Sunday | Cash, Card + Venmo | 50% off Sunday I like this sale because it has a ton of things in it that I don't see all the time BUT it is big overcrowded vibes so I'd skip if you're not interested in digging through stuff and elbowing people.

Not for me, Maybe for you Some of the sales end up in this section simply because I personally would not spend the gas money to go to these sales. There are some good cocktail glasses, a few furniture pieces, and some good tools + garage equipment pieces in Independence. Antiques, tons of typewriters, and a smaller sale in Lenexa |
