Welcome to April, and welcome to this week's newsletter! It's the first weekend of the month so Urban Mining and West Bottoms shops are open, along with the estate sales below.
There's quite a bit this weekend in the way of pots, planters, outdoor decor, and "garage items" which for me are hand tools, power tools, and the misc things we keep in our garages. There's also a heavy hand of animal decor - big for bunnies obvi but I'm really loving the dog decor at the Leawood sale below. |

What else is going on this weekend?
Friday only in Overland Park! Cash + Venmo. I like the ceramics + pottery pieces, really like this buffet but omg do I love the dining table + chair set.
Picker sale in Merriam, cash only and they do recommend you bring a flashlight for the basement. Highlights include: the Caddy Shack Dancing Gopher, cat collectibles, $1 vinyls, and power tools.
Overland Park has a moving sale (homeowners are leaving the country so everything! must! go!) including but not limited to: two cars, tons of theatre posters, full furniture sets, and a Betty Boop collection! Honestly lots at this sale that looks nice and/or lightly used AND it'll be 50% off on Saturday.
Vintage Chiefs merch + memorabilia in Shawnee but I'm also here for the kitchen options (dishes + pots + pans), the KS-inspired art, and the bits and bobs of vintage.
Assuminggg there are more things to see, this sale would be a good stop for trinkets, tray, and kitchen items.
And how about Monday?
Mon - Tues: Mission Hills is bumping with tons of furniture, rugs, wall art and but also, a pinball machine, clothing + accessories, vinyls, and power tools. The sales ends at 12:30pm on Tuesday BUT it will be 50% off that morning if you can make it out.
Mon - Wed: Overland Park has cute wall sconces, pottery dishes, and honestly some fun furniture + decor. I'd expect more pics by the end of the weekend.

Lenexa has a good array in indoor springtime decor, bunnies, cabbage plates, and a few good pieces for outdoors. I'm also deeply into this collection of clothing and patterned walking canes.
Blue Springs is offering more in the category of outdoor decor, pots + planters, and patio furniture. There are also plants that I'm pretty sure are fake? Some of them may be real? Saturday will be 50% off! |
